The Starzone warranty, in plain words
The floor spring is the machine at the bottom of a glass door that makes it open and close smoothly. It is the part that fails first in a cheap door. We use Starzone, and we stand behind it for 5 years. Because we sell Starzone ourselves, a warranty claim does not wait for any other dealer’s approval, and every machine is tested before it goes on a door. If the machine goes bad in that time, we replace it free of charge. You pay only the labour for fitting the new one.
Why quotes differ so much
Many people ask four or five shops and go with the lowest quote without checking what material is inside it. In glass work the material decides the price. Three examples:
- LED mirror: ours uses 5 mm Saint-Gobain glass, Indian electrical parts and a heavy body, with a 1-year warranty. A cheaper one often has thinner local glass (about 4 mm), imported lights and a light body, and fails sooner.
- Toughened glass: it happens in the market that 10 mm local glass is sold as 12 mm. When we say 12 mm, it is 12 mm Saint-Gobain glass.
- Floor spring: ours is heavy-quality Starzone. It costs more, but it rarely gives trouble, and if it does, the 5-year warranty covers it.
So when you compare quotes, compare the material and the brand, not just the number. We are not the cheapest shop, and we do not try to be.
